This blog was originally created for communications with volunteers, hence the old name. As we move forward this will be used to help volunteers and staff to have information and updates about the shelter.

We finally have some long timers that are available for
adoption! They will all be adopted out with medical waivers.
Tula is our long-time ringworm cat. I am happy to announce
that her fungal culture has come back negative and she is finally available for
adoption after being here for over 6 months!
Sprinkles has had an amazing recovery after her amputation
and got her stitches out today. She is now available for adoption with a
medical waiver as she is FIV positive. She has been here since November and I
am thrilled to say she is ready to go!
Gator, another long-time resident here is also going to be
available after tomorrow. We have him being neutered today and after months of
treatment for his chronic yeast dermatitis and demodex he is finally nearly on
the mend. He still has some hair to grow back but has most of it, is a great
weight finally.
Zephyr the little black Pit puppy will be available on
Monday with a waiver for his growth plate fracture. He should have a quite next
30 days as he regains strength and not allowed to rough house and run free just
yet. After 30 days he can start playing with supervision to ensure that he
doesn’t cause any further injury.
Our little 8 mo old Border Collie pup is getting neutered
and having an FHO today. He would love to go to foster for the next 2 weeks in
anyone is interested 😊
Benny the Pyrenees is doing great in his foster home and has
started swim therapy. He is available now to someone that is able to maintain
his recovery.
Nixon is a little Pomsky with a fracture to his left front
leg. He will need to be in a splint for the next 4-8 weeks. He did go to foster
but it seems he isn’t quite housebroken and has some separation anxiety. If
someone if looking for foster a little guy and can provide a small, safe space
he would love to be in a home to recover.
Lastly, I want to mention that we are trying to get animals
fixed and available as soon as we can but are facing delays in scheduling due
to the increase in animals needing care and surgery locally. I am filling every
available surgery spot I can get in hopes of limiting their time here. 😊
