I want to thank everyone for all their support the last few days. We are making a lot of 🍋's into lemonade at the shelter the last few days. We are going through all sorts of situations in the kennel, all of which are unrelated, and many people have stepped up to help.
This blog was originally created for communications with volunteers, hence the old name. As we move forward this will be used to help volunteers and staff to have information and updates about the shelter.

Puppy to 5 years old
This is Toby. He came with the name Toby and it fit him so I didn’t rename him. He was rescued from the Pismo pier when he was approximately 8 weeks old and turned in to a local vet who turned him in to you. One of the vet tech’s dad adopted him. I adopted him from them 4 weeks later. I picked this date as his birthday.

Calvin update
Hello everyone,
The adopters of Calvin A263223 called and told me how he was
doing. Thought I would pass the information she told me along to
everyone. She stated that he is doing wonderful in their home and they just
absolutely love him. They took him to the vet since we told them he may have
head trauma but has been cleared by the vet and doesn’t show any signs of
trauma. He did have 4 badly broke teeth possibly from being hit by the car.
Since having him neutered and the teeth taken care of he has been eating like a
horse. He is not a barker and leaves that up to the other two dogs in the home
to do. He currently has a skin allergy that they are seeking vet
treatment and is clearing up. But they send their thanks to everyone here and
appreciate everything we do for the animals. He fits in perfectly with
their family.
