Dog walking update

 Hey all,

So the temporary dog walking path is a bust and no one seems to like it. We are going back to just using the sally port. If you have a reactive dog that is closer to the night kennels you can ask staff to open the door for you to walk that specific dog but otherwise it will remained closed. Please remember to call out when walking around blind corners so other volunteer know you are coming. Also it has been requested by many of you to set a direction to the walking path to prevent volunteers running into each other as they walk around. After discussion the common path is to go out the sally port to the left then around the livestock yards. I have given an example on the picture below and would appreciate it if everyone were to follow it. If you have any questions please let me know.  -Kayla

Reactive training

Meets on May 19th from 5pm-6pm 

We have a lot of reactive dogs right now and this class is open to all volunteers that would like to learn to work with them. Sign up the same way you sign up for a shift.

So far so good 🤞🏽 

 

She has some anxiety & separation issues and she is in dire need of socializing with other people & animals, but she is very loving, she is walking well on a leash, seems to be housebroken, and enjoys being with both of us 💜 her new name is “Katie”
